About Sand and Soil Farm

Our Farming Practices

James Burke and Andie Fortier started Sand and Soil Farm in 2020 with the intent to bring organically grown produce to the local community and ensure that it does not come at the expense of our soil. We are a Certified Organic Farm that follows the principles of regenerative agriculture, prioritizing soil health and growing a bio-diverse array of crops. Our crops are grown on 3 acres of land in Amagansett, NY with intensive spacing and low/no till methods.

What We Grow

Our crop list is always growing and changing. Our crop list includes a wide range of tomatoes, including heirloom varieties, eggplant, peppers, salad greens, head lettuce, radishes, beats, potatoes, sweet potatoes, garlic, onions, scallions, kale, swiss chard, watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumbers, zucchini, winter squash, broccoli, cauliflower, and lots of flowers!

Farmers Markets

You can find Sand and Soil Farm flowers and produce at three farmers markets on Long Island. From May-November you can find us at the Port Jefferson Farmers Market, the Springs Farmers Market, and the Montauk Farmers Market.

Farm Update

Our Farm began with one leased acre from the Peconic Land trust and is now currently three acres. We are happy to announce that our farm has a new home base in Springs, NY. We will continue to utilize our current field in Amagansett while we grow into our new home in Springs.

Restaurant Garden

At Catchfly Farm, we're proud to have over 200 acres of lush farmland, where we grow a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables. We use sustainable farming practices to ensure that our crops are healthy and free from harmful chemicals. Our farm is also home to a variety of animals, including cows, pigs, and chickens, which are raised in spacious and clean environments.
